Pastor Jeff Harris
Pastor Jeff Harris was born into an all Deaf family from Danville, KY. He is the oldest of three children, and the only Hearing person in his family. He was saved at the age of 12, and surrendered to the call to preach at 17 years old. He attended Hyles-Anderson College for one year, and then finished his training for the ministry under Pastor Jeff Fugate (Clays Mill Baptist Church, Lexington, KY). Pastor Harris would work on staff for Dr. Fugate & Clays Mill Baptist Church for a brief period (2000-2001). Sensing God’s call to start a church, the Harris family was sent out by Clays Mill Baptist to plant the Lincoln Trail Baptist Church of Elizabethtown, KY (2001). He served as their Founder & Senior Pastor until God’s call led his family to move to Rochester, NY in 2012. He would become the Founder & Pastor of Anchor Baptist Church of Rochester, NY (2013) with a focus on reaching Deaf & Hearing people simultaneously. Through some family health issues Pastor Harris would move his family back to Kentucky (2021). He would serve on staff as an Assistant Pastor for Dr. Fugate and Clays Mill Baptist Church (2022-2023).
